China Netcom to merge Netcom Holdings' southern branches
Shanghai. August 7. INTERFAX-CHINA - China Netcom Group, the second largest fixed-line network operator in mainland China, is planning to merge the southern branches of Netcom Holdings Corp. Previously, the company had announced a timetable for the merging of Jitong communications and the northern branches of Netcom Holdings Corp. into Netcom Group's existing local provincial subsidiaries.
