Matthew Nash of Manlius didn't sit around oohing and aahing at his birthday presents at his June 14 party.
Instead, he looked at the haul he collected to donate to the Fayetteville-Manlius Food Pantry. Matthew asked all of his party guests to bring a non-perishable food item instead of bringing him a gift.
"I didn't know there was a food pantry in Manlius," Matthew said. "I had never seen one here and thought the only one there was in the city."
