This summer's blockbuster beach book reads like the Gospel according to Fox Mulder.
The author of "The Da Vinci Code" (Doubleday, $25) apparently hasn't met a conspiracy theory he doesn't like. Dan Brown has stuffed his latest novel with enough coverups to put Oliver Stone on a bender and the Internet on anagram overload.
Still, the mix of art history, mathematics, medieval mysticism - with heaping helpings of murder, car chases and riddles - has pushed the novel toward its 19th week on The New York Times bestseller list.
