BUX slides 1.5% as blue chips lose value
Budapest. August 7. INTERFAX-EUROPE - The BUX index was on a steady downhill slide throughout Thursday, with the index slipping just below the 8100 mark at the end of trading. The BUX closed with a loss of 124.63 points, or 1.52% at 8096.17. Turnover picked up somewhat from recent days, but still remained below average at HUF 5.5 billion.
European markets were mixed, with the FTSE and the CAC closing in positive terrirotry, gaining 0.6% and 0.1%, respectively, while the DAX suffered heavy losses and slipped 1.3% by the evening. Frankfurt was pulled down by BASF and Bayer, as the former reported 60% lower profits ...
