Aug. 10--I'M HERE TO WATCH THE APOCALYPSE: After several weeks and dozens of interviews in preparation for launching this column, I feel like an astronomer.
The basic scientific dynamic of astronomy is that every new discovery tells us the universe is bigger and more complex than we knew.
Likewise, with every discovery I make regarding Houston, my ignorance grows. Take, for example, my first impression.
It was spawned by a weekend visit for a series between the Cardinals and the Astros.
