HISTORIC buildings across Wales are set to benefit from grants tot alling almost pounds 700,000.

The cash is offered for repair or restoration of buildings of outstanding architectural or historic interest.

It is also available to fund work to help improve the appearance of a conservation area.

Among the building to benefit is St Cadwaladr's Church in Llangadwaladr, Anglesey, which will receive pounds 62,000.

Announcing the grants of pounds 697,000 Alun Pugh, the Minister for Culture,Welsh Language and Sport, said: ``I am delighted to announce this significant investment by the Welsh Assembly government to safeguard some of the most important historic ...
