Western Australian (WA) Health Minister Jim McGinty has withdrawn funding for the WA Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation. McGinty said that the funding had been withdrawn as the organisation had provided no significant health benefits for Aboriginal communities. He said the money would be redirected to ensure that health funding flowed through to those most in need. The organisation, which provides administrative and capacity-building support for 19 medical services, has lost $A605,000 in WA Government funding.
