THESE days we're all used to cooking with herbs and many of us either have a dried selection in the cupboard or fresh plants outside in the garden.
As a result, the likes of basil, chives and rosemary have become mainstays of the kitchen but if you have the space opt for fresh herbs, although supermarkets sell an excellent selection of potted ones.
A herb garden is a special place come the summer. When the plants are in full bloom you not only get wonderful aromas but flowers off some too, which the bees adore.
