The career break, or gap year, is becoming more popular than ever as increasing numbers of young professionals in their 20s and 30s become disillusioned with their jobs.
About 200,000 people take time out from education or employment between the ages of 18 and 24 and 150,000 of them are over 19. But now older age groups are also getting interested in taking time out.
'The 25 to 35-year-old gap year market is the fastest growing market,' said Tom Griffiths, founder of The gapyear Company.
