ROCHESTER, N.Y. - When Rochester general manager Dan Mason opens the paper in the morning, he first scans the sports pages for the box score of the Minnesota Twins, the major league team with which his Class AAA Red Wings are affiliated.
The next one he searches for belongs to the Baltimore Orioles, the team from which the Red Wings flew the coop last year, so to speak.
"I grew up in this town watching the players who would go on to the Orioles. And the people in that organization are still my friends," Mason said.
