Aug. 13--The message first popped up on Karen Ross' computer screen Monday night, when she was surfing the Web for her daughter's upcoming wedding. It told her that her computer would shut down in 37 seconds.
She shut down the computer for the night, but the message appeared again yesterday morning, showing up every few minutes and turning off her computer.
Ross was among thousands of computer users attacked yesterday by a virus-like worm that has been rapidly spreading across the world. The worm, dubbed Blaster, MSBlaster, LoveSan and several other names, ...
