Aug. 12--SOCIETY TO REWARD EXCELLENCE: The Dallas Historical Society has announced the recipients of the 2003 Awards for Excellence in Community Service. They will be honored at a luncheon Nov. 4 at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel.
Categories and honorees are:
--Arts Leadership u Michael A. Jenkins, president and managing director of the Dallas Summer Musicals.
--Education u Elizabeth "Liza" Lee, the Eugene McDermott headmistress of The Hockaday School, who has helped propel the all-girl school to the highest levels of academic excellence in its history.
