A warrant filed Tuesday in Dane County Circuit Court charged a Madison teen with attempted first-degree murder in connection with a shooting in June on Madison's Southwest Side.
John R. Walker, 17, allegedly shot Alvin Torry, 22, on June 9 with a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun in the 2200 block of Carling Drive. Torry was struck with about 185 pellets in his lower right leg and his lower back.
According to a criminal complaint, Torry told police he was walking with two acquaintances on Carling Drive when one of them became involved in a fight with someone who was among a crowd of people outside an apartment building. Torry said he ...
