Meeting Customer Needs With Cotton Burr Extractor
ASK BEN Smith of Lubbock Texas the major selling point for his cotton burr extractor and the answer comes quickly.
It's a combination of capacity and ground speed, says Smith, who runs B&J Metal Works and Manufacturing, which makes a variety of both ag-related and nonagricultural products.
Already, the firm is shipping 2 and 4-row cotton cleaners to customers as far away as California and Mississippi. And business could expand even further as more and more growers see cost benefits from taking a cleaner product to the gin, he says.
