This is how government panel chairman Silvestre Bello III described the status of the negotiations between the government and the National Democratic Front (NDF).
He said the peace talk is only on an indefinite recess after it was stopped on June 12, 2001 because the NDF violated a mutual agreement when CPP (Communist Party of the Philippines) chairman Jose Maria Sison issued a congratulatory statement regarding the killing of Cagayan Representative Rodolfo Aguinaldo.
