Builder presses ahead with plans for Fashion Mall at White Plains
WHITE PLAINS -- Plans are moving forward for The Fashion Mall at White Plains, a one-million-square-foot shopping complex proposed for what the developer and city officials alike regard as one of the premier retail locations in New York metropolitan area.
According to the planning consultant for the project, Michael Weiner of Parish & Weiner Inc. of Tarrytown, local officials are aware of the mall's tax benefits but are concerned the complex will draw business from other downtown merchants and paralyze traffic.
