Aug. 15--We're all living longer these days -- and that brings financial challenges.
On average, people are living 30 years longer than a century ago, according to the Federal Interagency Forum on Aging-Related Statistics. That means there will be a whopping 80 million seniors, age 65 or older, in the United States by 2050, including 20 million 85 or older.
But with that extended life, more people can expect to face some major debilitating health issues -- Alzheimer's, strokes or arthritis, to name a few.
