Pacific National has secured its first purely Queensland contract. The contract involves the shipment of stone to be used in the construction of the proposed seawall extension at the Fisherman Islands port in Brisbane. Stephen O'Donnell, the CEO of Pacific National, said that the contract would create six new jobs at its Brisbane freight terminal. Pacific National will shift 1.5 million tonnes of aggregate from a quarry around 90 kilometres from Brisbane over the next 18 months, saving around 60,000 truck movements.
