Kohler, Wis. -- Hello from one of the 500 bunkers located in the Twilight Zone of American golf.
Grass-topped dunes and bluffs are everywhere. Fescue fairways and blackfaced sheep meander here and there. A body of water stretches beyond the horizon.
Then there's the weather. The temperature dropped about 15 degrees in the time it took to buy a hot dog.
And don't even get us started on the wind.
"Sometimes," a caddie says, "the wind blows so hard, I have to put my feet this far apart or I'm gone. Especially if I'm doing a double [carrying two bags]."
Sounds like a typical day along ...
