KIDS |R' US TAKES MANHATTAN
Kids "R" Us, the children's wear division of toy retailer Toys "R" Us, recently opened its first store in New York City. Mike Searles, president of the children's wear chain, says he expects the New York City store to surpass all others in volume, judging by sales of the first Toys "R" Us store in New York City, which opened last November.
The New York City Kids "R" Us store occupies a total of 26,000 square feet on the second floor of the Herald Center building on Broadway at 34th Street. Although this is more than the 21,500 square feet most Kids "R" Us stores take up, it includes less selling space, Searles says. ...
