LANSING, Mich., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The Michigan Restaurant Association again today called upon the Macomb County Health Department to reverse its decision to close all restaurants while a boiling water advisory remains in effect following the recent power outage.
The MRA, which represents 4,000 restaurants in the state, has also been in communication with the Michigan Department of Agriculture and confirmed that Macomb County Health department officials have the authority to allow restaurants to operate during a boiling water advisory, as long as proper safe food handling procedures are followed.
