The 1970s began with the killing of four students by Ohio National Guardsmen at Kent State University, traversed through Watergate and an energy crisis and ended with the taking of American hostages in Iran.
That's all History Channel stuff, though. The fun part of the '70s _ your Weebles, your Oompa Loompas, your "CHiPs" _ will be celebrated the week of Monday, Aug. 18, when VH1 debuts "I Love the `70s," a pop-cultural Wayback Machine that recalls the Me Decade in all its earth-toned glory.
