SCHOOLGIRL Amy Phillips has been inspired to create a corner of England that will be forever . . . France . Her design for a water garden based on Claude Monet' s famous lily pond at Giverny, nort hern France , made such an impression on council officials that they decided to spend pounds 40,000 recreating the garden in a local park.
Amy, 13, a budding landscape architect from Burscough, West Lancs, came up with the design when her school,Lord's Gate primary, entered a competition at the Southport Flower Show.
