Ops Still Concerned Over PPV Olympics
NEW ORLEANS - Some operators remain skeptical and others have many questions surrounding NBC and Cablevision Systems Corp.'s 1992 Pay-Per-View Olympics TripleCast.
Amos Hostetter Jr., chairman of Continental Cablevision, stated in the opening session at the National Show last week that he's worried that the TripleCast's $40 million consumer promotion of the PPV Olympics could hurt operators not carrying the event.
