Dana Lantz's choice to open a women-only fitness club was influenced by her own exercise experience. "I'm not comfortable working out in front of men or extremely well-sculpted women," Lantz said. "I know a lot of other people share that."
Although her new business is part of a national franchise, Lantz is expecting to apply her own personal stamp. In addition to the exercise machines available for a 30-minute workout circuit and the weight loss and nutrition counseling that are standard at Slender Lady outlets, she is also eyeing opportunities to add classes in yoga, Pilates and even the Chinese art of Tai Chi Chuan.
