NEW YORK -- Jose Jimenez always wanted to be a starting pitcher.
The opportunity wasn't there with the Colorado Rockies, however - until now.
Jimenez will start against the Florida Marlins at Coors Field on Thursday, taking the rotation spot of Shawn Chacon, whose season could be over because of persistent inflammation in his right elbow.
Chacon will be examined by Rockies team physicians today, after which he is expected to be placed on the disabled list for the second time because of the elbow problem. He also was sidelined for 15 days in late June and has gone 0-4 in six starts ...
