VOCALIS, the former software star behind voice recognition systems used by Powergen, Abbey National and Anglian Water, has sold its core business for [pounds sterling]1 after falling into administration.
Administrators Begbies Traynor were appointed yesterday to oversee the sale to London-based rival netdecisions in a deal that secures the jobs of 56 staff in Vocalis' head office in Cambridge.
Netdecisions has also guaranteed to meet a [pounds sterling]510,000 inter-company loan that core business Vocalis Ltd owes the parent group, which has collapsed under debts of [pounds sterling]22 ...
