Warren Zevon didn't think he'd live long enough to finish his new CD.
Neither did his doctors.
But Zevon's valedictory album, "The Wind," arrives in stores Tuesday, a year after the 56-year-old was diagnosed with mesothelioma, the rare, inoperable lung cancer that killed Steve McQueen, and told that he had only three months to live.
"He's doing OK right now," Zevon's 34-year-old son Jordan said from Los Angeles earlier this month. "He's just trying to rest. He's watching Letterman at night, along with plenty of bad cable movies that we get together and discuss.
