Mexican authorities have cleared the permit for Sempra Energy to set up a liquid natural gas storage and processing unit at Baja California, a project already approved by environmental authorities. The unit would receive Bolivian liquid natural gas from the consortium Pacific LNG, however, there is no contract yet between the two companies. Sempra project designs investments of US$669mil, and scheduled the start up on 2007, producing 1,000mil cubic feet per day, to supply Baja California (Mexico) and California (US).
