Tropical storm "Nina" (international name: "Krovanh") gathered strength yesterday as it continued to approach Northern Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
Based on satellite and surface data of PAGASA, the storm's center was estimated 630 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan, with winds of 95 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of 120 kph.
