Leasing firms propose deduction of 50% of VAT for leased passenger cars used in business
Warsaw. August 21. INTERFAX-EUROPE - Polish leasing companies has proposed to the Finance Ministry that for the leasing of passenger cars used for business purposes the possibility of writing off 50% of the value added tax (VAT) should be introduced, leasing companies gathered in the Leasing Firm Association (ZPL) said Thursday.
The current rules divide cars into passenger cars and van or trucks (commercial vehicles), with only the latter being able to write off half the VAT. For passenger cars for businesses, the practice to date has been ...
