American forces in Iraq will now protect more potential targets for terrorism like the United Nations building in Baghdad that was bombed Tuesday, but the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said there are no plans to increase the number of U.S. troops.
"This is an international issue," said U.S. Air Force Gen. Richard B. Myers. "The United Nations is an international organization and they were directly attacked by whom yet to be determined." Myers was speaking at a military technology convention at the Sheraton Ferncroft in Danvers last night.
