Aug. 22--Little has changed at Williams County's Chase Brass & Copper Co., the brass rod manufacturer whose parent firm was at the center of a hostile takeover fight launched nearly three years ago and eventually bought by a company-favored "white knight" who stepped in.
The rural Montpelier factory continues to employ about 300 people in operations that recently finished a more than $90 million, multi-year expansion. John Steadman remains in charge as president.
