Nigella Lawson, the self-confessed flab- fighter dubs it, 'the perfect diet for those who love food' and Catherine Zeta Jones shed all the post-pregnancy weight on it after first child Dylan was born.
Indeed, the Atkins diet has become a phenomenon, with dieters turning their backs on experts' criticisms of the high- fat, no-carbs eating plan in favour of quick and drastic weight loss.
