What is an anxiety disorder?
All of us have times when we feel nervous and upset about things. Daily life means times when we all worry and fret. This is normal. However, when nervousness and worry happen almost daily or many times during a week you may have an anxiety disorder. The distress you feel with an anxiety disorder is not limited to nervousness, apprehension, or "butterflies" in the stomach. Anxiety disorders usually include outright fear, panic, and a horrifying scaredness. The fright and terror often keep you from doing daily activities.
