"Nina," now a typhoon with center winds of 120 kilometers per hour (kph), was located 130 kilometers southeast of Aparri, Cagayan, yesterday, moving west towards Northern Luzon at 24 kph.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the typhoon with the international name "Krovanh," was expected to hit land in Palanan, Isabela, last night. Its center winds were 120 kph with gusts of 150 kph.
It was expected to cross Northern Luzon and pass between Laoag City in Ilocos Norte and Vigan City in Ilocos Sur today.
