Joseph Coleman Casey of Arlington, former drummer for a rock band, died Tuesday at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. He was 45.
Born at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton, he was raised in Winchester and later moved to Arlington. He graduated from Governor Dummer Academy in 1976, and later from Syracuse University. He was an Arlington resident.
He had a variety of jobs throughout his life, and for a while, was the drummer for Forbidden Sin, a band made up of his brothers and childhood friends.
