ANN Widdecombe has been on the blower after my well-fed colleague James Whitaker revealed in his weekend column that he has been asked to be a contestant on Celebrity Fit Club.
Whitaker says he has told producers "Maybe". But Tory MP Widders - who appeared in the first series of the programme in which public figures try to slim down - yesterday urged him (via The Scurra) to accept the invitation at once.
