Stiff competition in the paper products category (toilet and facial tissues, paper towels and napkins) from the national brands has somewhat creased private label sales, but private label manufacturers continue to innovate with improved processing facilities, new premium products and an overall focus on quality. This focus puts private label head-to-head with established name brands--many of them longtime household icons.
