The Big Three automakers continue to strike out in the Japanese auto market. Sales of the Ford, GM and Chrysler nameplates continue to plummet in Japan, according to the Japanese Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA). For the first three months of this year, General Motors has seen a 46 percent decrease in the number of automobiles it sells in Japan, to 2,481. Ford's sales (not including Jaguar, Volvo, Land Rover and Aston Martin) have dropped 30.4 percent to 1,251 vehicles. Chrysler's sales have declined 4.4 percent to 1,686 vehicles.
