The Syracuse Salty Dogs are starting to enjoy this spoiler thing.
Tommy Tanner capped a big week for himself when he knocked in a rebound right in front of the Richmond Kickers net in the 70th minute Friday night to give the Salty Dogs a 1-0 victory in an A-League soccer match.
Tanner, 35, who was named the team's new general manager on Monday, scored his first goal of the season. The win for Syracuse (10-11-5) follows last weekend's 0-0 draw with Northeast Division rival Montreal, keeping the Impact from clinching a playoff berth.
