When you break records once owned by legends, people should rise up and take notice, right? Then what are we to make of the situation surrounding West Virginia quarterback Rasheed Marshall?

A year ago he helped orchestrate one of the most dramatic turnarounds in NCAA Division I-A. The Mountaineers went

9-4 overall and finished second in the Big East Conference at 6-1. West Virginia finished 1-6 in the Big East in 2001.

Marshall, using the spread offense, rushed for 666 yards, breaking the single-season conference mark by quarterbacks set by NFL standout Michael Vick when Vick was at Virginia Tech in 2000.
