In 1933, as pest control was beginning to establish itself as a cohesive, respectable industry, it found an ally in the Exterminators Log, founded by Al Cossetta. At first, the Log struggled to forge a clear path. However, one goal was clear--the Exterminators Log intended to inform, educate and serve as an industry advocate. Over the years, the magazine's name and staff have changed, but those ideals have remained steadfast.

As the industry grew and adjusted to new and changing technology, rules and regulations, so, too, did the magazine. Examining issues from the 1930s to today, one can almost chart the path of the industry:
