For several days now, a small blue dragonfly has perched on top of the curved hook on a hanging basket in my yard, as though it was playing king on the mountain.
Why dragonflies choose my garden, why they pick one spot to perch, and why they stay for a while has always been a mystery to me since I have no water or pond for them.
Up close, dragonflies are beautiful. Not only do they come in shimmering colors of blue, but also in green, red, yellow and black. They have big eyes that appear to see right through me and when they fly, they fly like no other creature, darting around in a blur, even more acrobatically than a ...
