Aug. 27--Lynchburg's unemployment rate came down in July to 5.1 percent, and the U.S. Department of Labor has approved special benefits to help some dislocated workers.
Former employees of Ericsson's Supply and Distribution Division, including leased workers from Manpower, are now eligible to apply for benefits under the Department of Labor's Trade Adjustment Assistance Program.
