BizStats.com recently analyzed and ranked the productivity performance of 100 national retailers in terms of sales per square foot (SPF) . Here, the men's retailers that scored the highest SPF and squeezed the most revenue from their floor space in the most recently completed fiscal year. By necessity, the list is bifurcated into retailers that report SPF on a gross basis -- which includes in-store storage and office space -- and retailers that report SPF on a selling-space basis, which is typically 60 to 90 percent of gross store space.
