Evergreen Recycling, the company denied a permit to open a waste transfer station in Clay, will appeal the decision Sept. 8 at a hearing before a state administrative law judge.
The public also will have a chance to testify about the project, rejected by the state Department of Environmental Conservation in July after months of consideration.
Those who want to testify must seek formal "party status" from the judge in advance of Sept. 8, and prove they would be directly affected by Evergreen's proposal to open a waste transfer station at 7707 Henry Clay Blvd. in Clay's Woodard Industrial Park.
