The cranberry juice question may soon be answered.
The National Institutes of Health has launched an initiative to provide approximately $2.6 million in grants for research into the efficacy of high-grade cranberry products for the prevention of urinary tract infection (UTI). Ultimately, the goal is to undertake a definitive phase III trial that will address efficac5 safety, dosage, and timing and duration of intervention.
