The lion cub backs away, hissing at zookeeper Shane Elsinger for getting too close with his videocamera. The cub's momma would be even ruder to an intruder, so Elsinger had coaxed her into another enclosure before stealing a few minutes with her firstborn. Now a month old, the little fellow has no teeth and no name, although animal-lovers can help name him starting today.
Dane County and Vilas Zoo staff are offering five African male names as options.
