MEXICO CITY, Sep 02, 2003 (CNI/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- Volkswagen de Mexico and its union resolved a recent conflict stemming from differing understandings of the August 8 work reduction agreement that avoided 2,000 layoffs. Union members were surprised when their first paychecks following the production cutbacks were lower than they ought to have been.
